Teletherapy

419718343Who wants to drive across town and sit in a waiting room?

Nobody. So why do we do it?

Why do we have to find time for an appointment as well as drive there and back? Why do we have to deal with traffic on top of the stress we already feel?

You think, “This whole process is supposed to help me feel better.” But it doesn’t.

Believe me; it can be better.

You don’t have to wonder if other people in the waiting room are giving you the side eye. There doesn’t have to be a waiting room.

Having therapy where you are most comfortable and have ultimate privacy seems a better choice.

It should be relaxing during therapy − have your tea or a snack.

You aren’t limited to therapists who live near you. Now, you can see your ideal therapist even when they are in a different town. Teletherapy provides a better option that suits your needs and schedule.

“Therapy is hard work and one has to be willing to feel all the feelings, but if you are ready, Doreen is an amazing guide.  I can’t say enough about how Doreen’s insights and expertise have helped me analyze my situations in order to find workable realistic solutions. I recommend her for anyone looking for better relationships with self and others.” -G.S.

You choose a location that gives you privacy. That space should have minimal distractions and a good Internet connection. Therapy does not work while driving.

We meet over video through a webpage or an app. Therapy is most effective when we can see and hear each other. Don’t worry; our conversations are private and confidential.

I will welcome you to the session and ask how you’re doing as if we were in the same room.

Make it work for you!

Schedule a time that works for you. I will prioritize your appointment and expect you to do the same.

My policy permits two non-emergency no-shows or late cancellations before I no longer provide therapy. I will wait 15 minutes before I count the session as a no-show or a late cancellation.

I take your well-being seriously. I hope you do, too.

Dress as comfortably as you like but make sure it’s appropriate. Bunny slippers are A-OK.

Many clients find teletherapy more effective than in-person therapy. Now is your time to try counseling with Doreen Vosburg.
