You’re in the right place.
If anxiety, depression, trauma, or painful relationship patterns are wearing you down, I can help. I’m Doreen Vosburg. For over 20 years, I’ve helped adults repair relationships, recover from anxiety and depression, and heal from trauma. I also support family members of people on the autism spectrum—partly because I’ve lived these challenges myself.
You might feel isolated, like you’ve lost yourself, or like you’re “going crazy.” You’re not. You deserve someone who listens, understands, and helps you build practical skills to feel better.
How I work.
I use visual tools as part of therapy, so sessions are usually on video. Many people find teletherapy more effective and more comfortable — you’re in your own space, and we can still do meaningful, skill-based work. If you’re homebound or have trouble with technology or transportation, tell me — we’ll talk about options.
Therapy is real work, and it’s worth it.
Therapy can feel strange at first. Being truly heard can be overwhelming if you’re not used to it. That’s normal. We go at your pace, step by step. I pay attention to where you feel stress or tension in your body and help you work with it, not around it.
What you can expect.
Therapy will challenge you — sometimes it’s tiring or frustrating, sometimes it’s exciting. Most clients find they quickly start seeing new options and feel relief. People tell me they like that I’m direct but kind: I’ll be honest with you and supportive at the same time.
Keep going even when things get better. Those wins matter, and we celebrate them together.
Why this matters.
If you’re ready to try, I’m here.
About Me
My perspective comes from life experience and training.
I’ve been where you are and lived through all the crap you are going through now. Those life experiences made me a better therapist because I can genuinely connect with my clients at a level that most therapists cannot. That makes me different, and that’s why I’m here. I want to help other people through the biggest challenges of their lives.
My professional training started with a Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling from Wayne State College and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
I helped clients in Missouri and Texas before becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota and North Dakota, which required an additional 12 college credits of post-graduate work. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina and Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington. I am certified to practice neurodiverse couples’ therapy, Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
In my time outside of therapy…
I love being outdoors, going for walks, camping, kayaking, roasting marshmallows, and sitting by the fire. Indoors, I like to read and do cross stitch.
